Oregon Recovery offers flexible scheduling options for group. We offer morning, weekend, and evening groups! Each group has a specific topic. You will work with your counselor to determine which groups may be most appropriate for your situation. We offer two DUII Education, Information Group, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Group, Health and Wellness and Relapse Prevention.
Each group offers a valuable skill set. All clients entering services must attend 5-weeks of Education Group, coupled with a second group. Each week a different topic is covered and includes history of alcohol and other drugs, Effects of Alcohol, BAC, and alcohol laws in Oregon, Marijuana and Depressants, Stimulants, and Infectious Disease. Although a particular topic may not apply to you, you can still gain valuable insight into how drugs can affect the brain and body differently.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy presents alternate outcomes by teaching you skills how to redirect thoughts and feelings. Health and Wellness Group promotes healthy lifestyle choices, discusses how exercise can combat addiction issues, and how balanced nutrition can help heal the body during recovery.
Relapse Prevention focuses on each client developing a specific plan on how to cope with triggers during recovery, identifies risks, and safety planning.
Oregon Recovery purposely tries to keep each group small. This creates greater opportunity for increased participation, lower client-to-counselor ratio, and enriches the therapeutic atmosphere. We make every effort to accommodate our clients by providing a clean and comfortable learning environment. Group sessions are offered Sunday through Thursday.
